The Adult Education Center (AEC) is located on the North Idaho College campus. This program is designed for individuals 16 years of age and older who have withdrawn from public school and want assistance to prepare for the GED® Test. They also serve adults who have graduated but still have a desire to upgrade their basic skills. Tuition is free and learning materials are provided.

Proliteracy is an international nonprofit organization that supports literacy programs that help adults learn to read and write. They have been empowering adult literacy for over 60 years.
